Salesforce Solution Architect
The Salesforce Solution Architect will be responsible for the full application architecture and development lifecycle process that translates business requirements into functioning software applications, services and solutions. They are a key member of our Salesforce development and implementation team. They will be responsible for leading projects through the requirements definition and solution design phases. They will be responsible for the overall solution design to meet the business requirements and fulfill user stories, and for leading a team of resources through the build, test, and deployment phases. This person must demonstrate progressive leadership in the full life cycle of the software development environment. This person is a leader with deep Salesforce development experience and will be the main point of contact between the client and our development team.
Typical responsibilities include:
  • Leverage a broad range of technical knowledge and solution strategy expertise as you advise the team on the best technical solution
  • Develop comprehensive configuration designs, use cases, test conditions, and training documentation to support the successful implementation of initiatives and processes
  • Identify and recommend Salesforce based solutions, integration points and related implementation architecture for business usage improvements, scalability and performance
  • Identify detailed business requirements to support Salesforce implementation within the scope of prioritized enhancements and projects
  • Ensure the Salesforce technical design aligns to overall enterprise architecture
  • Define technical best practices for the implementation
  • Identify new trends in Salesforce and associated technologies and leverage them to bring out new ideas by building prototypes to demonstrate compelling solutions
  • Evaluate application performance at early stages of development and recommend best possible solutions for maintaining effective performance metrics
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices
  • Evaluate possible application performance bottle necks at early stages of the implementation and recommend remedial measures
  • Identify any application/code security issues and recommend remedial measures
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other relevant technical degree; or equivalent work experience
  • Six or more years of experience developing, supporting or implementing application software
  • Four or more years of experience in Salesforce design and development
  • Three or more years of experience developing, building, packaging and deploying on Java; strong knowledge of Java, both front end and server side
  • Experience in systems integration and ETL tools such as Heroku Connect, Salesforce Connect, and Talend
  • Experienced with web/database application technologies like SQL Server, Postgres, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Salesforce application architecture, governor limits, and development components such as Lightning, VisualForce, Apex Classes and Triggers, APIs, etc.
  • Experience with Salesforce Web Services APIs - SOAP and REST-based Web Service APIs, Bulk API, and Metadata API
  • Experience with large data sets such as 1mm+ rows
  • Experience creating and delivering workflow solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Process Builder
  • Experience with PaaS such as AWS Elastic Beanstalk and Heroku
  • Experience working for an ISV building a packaged software on top of Salesforce strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work
  • Able to handle full work load, meet deadlines, work independently and engage project manager as necessary
  • Exceptional drive, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and to immediately contribute in a team environment
This position is based in Atlanta, our North American headquarters. The nature of our business requires travel to client locations. Travel tends to fluctuate depending on specific project and client needs but typically is in the range of 25-50%.
